The Tend Her Hope Summit is a women’s program that intends an inclusive definition of women. 

We are welcoming and respectful of all women, including trans women and nonbinary/gender nonconforming people who are woman-identified in a way that is significant to them.

LARGE GROUP SESSIONS

We start the day all together in an opening session, followed by a live podcast recording of Tend Her Wild with Kate, Betsy and special guests. We will also end the day as a large group in a closing circle.

SMALL GROUP SESSIONS

During the day you will have the opportunity to work in smaller groups with members of the Tend Her Team for more intimate connection with the teachers and participants. You will attend 3 of the 6 different breakout workshops.

about your guides

Betsy Brandl Rippentrop

Dr. Betsy Brandl Rippentrop is a licensed psychologist, certified yoga and meditation teacher, and Reiki master who uniquely blends science, psychology, mysticism and spirituality into her yoga classes and private therapy work. She guides people into courageous awareness of their body and mind, and is especially adept at translating complex concepts into practical tools that can efficiently shift our state of being. Betsy also owns Heartland Yoga, maintains a psychology practice focused on integrating yoga into treatment, has written multiple academic papers on the mind-body connection and is author of Chakra Healing: Restore balance to your body, mind, and spirit through the seven energy centers.  She is the co-host of Tend Her wild podcast. Kimberly Jaeger-Arjes

Kimberly is a matron & mother, goat witch, grief & death doula, end of life companion, yoga & meditation comrade, and practitioner of rest and restorative justice.

She believes our collective purpose in this “one brief life” (Alua Arthur) is found in our relationships—with other beings, our choices, nature, and the environments around us. It’s about how we grieve, how we love & liberate ourselves, and how we become more present. It’s a collaborative endeavor, really: to live and to die. She aims to offer services that honor the whole self of the dying and support those around them. Through ancient movement practices such as yoga, dance, and restorative rest, as well as meditation, intention-setting, and the energy work of Reiki, she hopes to provide comprehensive care.

kate moreland

Kate Moreland is an experienced coach who understands the struggles of career decisions and burnout, and the power of conscious leadership, wellbeing and authenticity. After a decade of practicing law, Kate recognized she needed to make a change. For the past 12 years she has been coaching others as they explore interests, uncover strengths, and consider career and life changes.

She is a Lumia Coach, has a certificate in the Science of Wellbeing from Yale, and is certified in the mind-body connection. She is also a master collaborator and is certified in Strategic Doing. As a natural connector, Kate is the co-founder of Her Experience, a revolutionary retreat for women. She is also a co-host of the Podcast Tend Her Wild. Monica Basile

Dr. Monica Basile is a visual artist and graphic designer, Reiki Master/Teacher, and creator of The Earth Speaks Oracle Deck.

With more than 28 years of experience as a healer, midwife, and space-holder, she is passionate about helping people to experience beauty, enchantment, connection to the earth, and inner peace through honoring the seasonal and cyclical transformations of life. She brings her love of liminal spaces into her work as an artist and mentor, helping people navigate the subtle, imaginal, and creative realms with self-compassion and curiosity. 

Monica is a mother and a longtime yoga and meditation practitioner. She believes in the power of gentle compassion, the wisdom of the body, and the light within all beings. Visit her at  ravenandmagnolia.com.

Rachel McLaren

Dr. Rachel McLaren is a scholar, teacher, and speaker who is passionate about helping people improve their communication, relationships, and overall well-being through evidence-based education and embodiment practices. She is an associate professor in communication studies, a yoga and group fitness instructor, and a mom of three. Her research focuses on how people talk about and understand emotion and conflict in their relationships, with an emphasis on parent-adolescent communication. She enjoys knitting and sewing, going on outdoor adventures with her family, and connecting with others through community. Janelle Railey

Janelle has been a psychotherapist for 20 years and a meditation and yoga practitioner and teacher for 30. She views her work as a way to help others understand their minds and interpersonal relationships in order to live more enriching and fulfilling lives. Her training includes a Master’s Degree from Naropa University, continuing education in sensorimotor psychotherapy, MBSR, somatic experiencing, perinatal education, Jungian analysis, interpersonal neurobiology and dreamwork. She is currently a matriculated candidate for the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas in their psychoanalytic certification program. She views herself as a life-long learner. She is also a parent, partner, animal lover and avid outdoors person.

Lily French

Lily French is a Sound Healer, Reiki Master, Human Design Reader, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Holistic Psychotherapist (LISW).

With over 20 years of experience supporting people’s self-care, healing, and wellness, her work focuses on helping people shift limiting beliefs and break free from conditioning so that they can step fully into their authentic expression, sense of agency, and congruent life path. As both a practitioner and an educator, she teaches people how to perceive and work with subtle energies, so that they can become empowered to be their own healer and guiding light. Lyndsey Scott

Lyndsey Scott is a multimedia artist, songleader, songwriter, and ritualist committed to exploring community singing as a technology of belonging and a strategy for mutual liberation. She currently teaches “Community Singing as Collective Power” as the 2024-25 Grant Wood Fellow at the UI School of Music.

Christina Figgé-Morrison

Christina Figgé-Morrison is a medical doctor from Denmark, and is certified and specialized in evidence-based clinical hypnotherapy. In her online clinic, Christina works with women worldwide offering a holistic, highly effective and science-backed approach to healing. She is passionate about dissolving limiting beliefs and emotional blocks at a root-level, and empowering women to fully step into their authentic lives.
She creates a warm and supportive space where new doors can open. Christina speaks, teaches, and advocates for the power of combining medical expertise with advanced hypnotherapy techniques – for deep, rapid, and lasting transformation.
