Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the pace of life, the rapid changes on the planet, and how to stay afloat?

Research has shown that women are in a burnout epidemic….the majority of us feel stressed and depleted.

It is essential for women to understand how to adjust to so much change and uncertainty. The stressors are not going away, so it is essential for us to bolster our inner resilience.

Have you experienced any of the following in the past year?

  • Sleeplessness
  • Muscle aches
  • A louder inner critic constantly in judgment mode
  • A sense of overwhelm
  • Despair, despondency and a desire to numb out
  • A feeling of just barely hanging on
  • Anxiety, rumination, worry
  • Feeling stuck, frozen, indecisive

If so, you too are in some level of burnout and nervous system dysregulation.  You need tools to strengthen your resilience muscle.

The American Psychological Association says that resilience has 4 components: physical, mental, emotional, and social.

Resilience is not a personality trait.  Rather, anyone can develop and learn behaviors, thoughts and actions that foster resilience.  Like building a muscle, increasing resiliency takes time and intentionality.  This program will provide the resiliency tools, the space, and the support.

Resilience is remaining open to whatever is arising in your life, especially the hard stuff, without shutting down. It is remaining connected to your calm center. And if you believe you do not have a calm center...guess again. Everyone has the capacity for inner steadfastness.

Hi, I'm Betsy

— a licensed psychologist, certified yoga and meditation teacher, author, and momma of 3 kids ages 11-18.

I have definitely weathered highs and lows in the past few years.  The pandemic was a particularly hard chapter for me. My own challenges opened my eyes (and compassion) to how many people were suffering.

It is said that dark times offer you growth and opportunity. From my own search on how to weather the storm, I applied for a grant in 2021 to create a self-compassion program for women to buoy their mental health through the trials of the pandemic.  The idea for Tend Her was born!

I was blown away by how quickly the word spread about this program….women talk! Before I knew it, 1000 women had registered.

In 2022, Tend Her 2.0 was released and 1200 women attended virtually.

And now, I am excited to announce Tend Her 3.0 is almost here.

TEND HER

is a women's program that intends an inclusive definition of women. We are welcoming and respectful of all women, including trans women and nonbinary and gender nonconforming people who are female-identified in a way that is significant to them.

THE PROGRAM

4 ONLINE CLASSES

Tend Her 3.0 is 4 online live classes starting Monday, October 23 – November 13 from 6-7:30 PM with Dr. Betsy. If you cannot make the class LIVE, it is recorded and can be watched on an online educational portal. In the 4 classes you will learn the importance of resilience.  Each class will provide not only education, but also practical tools and practices to enhance your resilience muscle. This course will focus on the 4 dimensions of resiliency: physical, emotional, mental, and social.

8 online yoga + meditation classes

You will receive a zoom link to attend 8 of Dr. Betsy’s yoga classes through the duration of this course.  She will be weaving the themes of resilience into the yoga practices.  If you cannot attend live, the classes will be recorded for you to access later.

PRIVATE GROUP + Small group opportunities

You have access to a private Facebook group for TEND HER members that allows for connection, community building, and a place to feel seen and heard.

You will be given the opportunity to join a small group of 10.  Each group has autonomy and agency to meet or use the group however the group sees fit.  Guidelines about how to create healthy women’s circles will be provided.  Many deep friendships have been resulted from TEND HER small groups so we encourage you to find the courage to join.

SELF-EXPRESSION TOOLS

Journaling and soul-work is a key component of the course. You will receive in the mail  a TEND HER journal to keep track of your thoughts, feelings, and new insights.  In every Monday class you will be given “soul work” to take you deeper into the teachings and your own resilience story and practice.
